About Well made lives
When I started this blog two years ago, I was keen to help other people do as I had done: adopt a simpler, healthier, more pared down life.
But there was a crucial error in the 'help' I was trying to give. I was assuming that what worked for me would work for others too. So all I had to do was tell them what I did and they could copy me.
Reading or hearing other people's stories can really inspire us. Bur how often does it lead to action? Not often. Sometimes it actually leads to inaction.
What's missing? What makes it so hard for anyone else to follow the recipe for success of someone like Beyonce or Elon Musk? Why can't we just decide to live as simply and well as Marie Kondo [The Magic of Tidying Up] or Leo Barbuta [Zen Habits] - and actually do it?
Because we're not them. We each have to find our own way - to do what WE do best, not what someone else thinks is best, to create our own definitions of success. We need to build well made lives that work for US and the people we love. If there are obstacles in our way, it's up to US to move them!
So I'm here to help by doing what I do best, helping you to cut through the b/s and build the essential components of your well made life.
